- The 2019 iPad is Apple's budget offering, relative to the other slates in its lineup. However, just because it's the most affordable iPad you can get at $329, doesn't mean it's a slouch. There's a large, crisp Retina display and full Smart Keyboard and Apple Pencil support, giving it an advantage over the smaller Mini 5.

“The rumored new Apple keyboard has already been analyzed to death, compared to its current, fully real counterpart. But in this handy side by side picture (hit the jump for a mega version) we can see the potential impact the new design will have on Apple users.”[…] Thanks to arbiterofcool for providing this nice story on Digg (more than 1706 Diggs).
What other user say about this:
Xenctuary: I hope the rumoured keyboard, whatever it looks like, keeps the volume keys dedicated. I don’t want to have to hit “fn” first to adjust or mute my iMac’s volume.
SVPirate: *YAWN* fake
clyde2801: I’m sorry to say this, but I’m using a microsoft keyboard on my powermac. It’s spill resistant, programmable, mac compatible and has everything I want (except for a couple of extra usb ports) for $20.00. I’m just wondering why can’t apple build anything this practical. Come to think of it, I’m using a logitech mouse as well since I’m sick to death of the flaw with the mighty mouse.

daGUY: Looks nice (and in-line with something Apple would do), but I don’t think this is real. The main problem with it is that it has dedicated hardware buttons for functions that you can currently assign to any key (Exposé and Dashboard). If they do release this keyboard, they would also have to remove the ability to customize the shortcut keys for those functions, which seems really unlikely.
Also, they’ve shuffled around some functions for no apparent reason. Why are the volume and eject keys moved from above the numpad to replace the keys that are currently the defaults for Exposé and Dashboard? Again, they would have to immediately release a software update to fix this. Besides, what would you do with F16, F17, F18, and F19? Why do you need an extra four function keys when you still have two (F5 and F6) that aren’t used for anything?

It’s also known that Jobs hates “multimedia” buttons and the like, so it seems very unlikely that they would include iTunes controls directly on the keyboard.
Finally, if this was real, Apple Legal would have it taken down. It’s been online and discussed for way too long for them to not have seen it by this point.
Sorry kids, I think it’s a fake ?
4N1M8R: I was hoping it would have one real button and the rest virtual.
urnasty: I was using that type of keyboard years ago.
akhomerun: people seem upset about how many different things the same function keys now do with this keyboard.
most of them don’t even realize that the settings can be changed in the system preferences (either press fn – F# to operate special buttons or press fn – F# to use the function keys)
Anyone with a macbook knows it’s not a big deal, even for power users! It’s a lot of riff-raff over the default keyboard that a computer comes with. The keyboard is nicer than 99% of the crap that PCs come with anyway. Macs can use all kinds of third party keyboards.
TVarmy: What I really wish Apple would do is put their Shift, Alt, and Control symbols on the keys (Look on Apple’s website for keystrokes, and you’ll see the strange logos. Shift is the only one that makes intuitive sense.). It’d sure make things a lot easier for Mac noobs.

oneSaint: Why would Apple put a Function Key beside the Delete Key… from a usability stand point… this makes NO sense!
Nice fake though….

coolred: A .com key would be handy.
CLShortFuse: Unless you’re an Apple fanboy, I think anyone would say it’s one of the ugliest keyboards they have ever seen. Go ahead and send your non-Apple friends online the link and see what they think of the keyboard. (The top keyboard is the “new” keyboard)
rowlodge: dont know if its more comfortable to use buts it pretty ugly at first glance. remember the toilet seat laptop?
TheWiredNerv: Apple still can’t afford to put a proper “M” key on their board? Having an upside down W key significantly cuts costs I guess.
Typhoon2009: Still needs an ergo version.
